Excel gantt chart template

Here’s a Gantt Chart template I made after tinkering with Excel’s conditional formatting and a few formulas.  It’s no MS Project, but If you have any high level project planning to do or need a quick visual of task duration and relationships, give this a whirl – just drop in a start date and duration (or end date) for each of your tasks and the rest takes care of itself.

Download Excel Gantt Chart Template (.xltx)
NOTE: Do not select and drag rows or cells to move them to a new location, or the formatting will break. Use copy and paste (preferably, ‘paste formulas’) instead.

Character Animation: Dancing Shoes Wednesday, June 9, 2010

Character Animation: Dancing Shoes

I was contacted by a production company for some animation work for a shoe commercial and had a ton of fun digging into this. As the Animation Lead, I was responsible for building the rig and completing the dance animations, which I passed off to my client for their own re-purposing.

While our “Play the News” platform lived entirely online, we didn’t completely abandon print marketing. For example, I whipped up this small bookmark to hand out at various events and functions we attended.

This is the first version of the box art, which I developed from concept to completion. The second version was polished up and formatted for a special distribution in the Middle East. It coincided with the Annapolis Peace Summit and was covered by ABC Headline News. Neat.
